Jelly shoes have never really gone out of style. They’ve simply evolved with the times.

For Fall/Winter 2026, Melissa proves there’s still plenty left to explore. Instead of relying on nostalgia, the Brazilian footwear label pushes its signature jelly material into fresh territory with Delirium, a collection of sculptural platforms, revived icons and bold new silhouettes that feel playful without trying too hard.

The collection takes its name from Delirium, blurring the line between memory and imagination. That idea comes through not in theatrical gimmicks, but in the way familiar Melissa favourites return with a fresh perspective. Some are chunkier. Others are sleeker. All still feel unmistakably Melissa.

Leading the charge is the return of the Melissa Aranha 79 II, one of the brand’s most recognisable sandals.

Alongside it is the Melissa Vixen Kitten Heel, while the Melissa Possession Mule gives one of the label’s best-known designs a thoroughly modern update. Out of the entire collection, the Possession Mule is the pair I’d bring home. It keeps everything that made the original such a Melissa icon while giving it a cleaner, more contemporary profile. As someone whose wardrobe already includes the Melissa x Undercover Gold Platform Mules and Melissa x Lazy Oaf Green Sandals, this one has officially made it onto my wish list.

The collection is at its best when it lets the silhouettes do the talking. The Melissa Free Clog Up Platform embraces exaggerated proportions, while the Melissa Royal Plus (featured image) takes Melissa’s signature jelly construction somewhere bolder and more fashion-forward. They feel less like novelty shoes and more like confident statement pieces.

Melissa doesn’t stop at footwear either. The glossy Melissa Airflow Bag extends the same jelly aesthetic into accessories, making it an easy companion to the season’s shoes without feeling like an afterthought.

What makes Delirium stand out is how naturally it treats jelly as more than just a signature material. Across the collection, Melissa reshapes, stretches and reimagines it through fresh proportions and contemporary silhouettes while holding onto the comfort and easy wearability that have always made the brand so appealing.

Melissa has been making jelly shoes for decades, but Delirium never feels like it’s looking backwards. Instead, it shows that even one of fashion’s most familiar materials can still surprise us when it’s placed in the right hands.

The Delirium collection launches from July 2 online and at Melissa Wisma Atria, Melissa PLQ, and Melissa IMM.
